Since 2017, Craig Humbe r has been in charge of the Walcker organ in the Votivkirche and founded the Orgelklang Votivkirche organ festival in 2019. In addition to his international activities as a concert organist, teacher, and juror, the preservation of this valuable organ is one of his main concerns.

THE GREAT ORGAN OF THE VOTIVE CHURCH

The historic organ in the Votivkirche was built in 1878 by the renowned organ building company EF Walcker and inspected by Anton Bruckner.

Renowned composers and organists have treasured, played, and used this instrument as a model for sound. Fortunately, the instrument is in almost original condition and is considered one of the most important organs in Europe.
